I didn’t really grow up with football, but have vague memories of football programmes on the television whilst growing up and checking the scores on Ceefax as it approached full time.  I have two brothers, one of which doesn’t bother that much with football but my other brother is a Liverpool fan. My late Dad was a Manchester United fan, and so yes, I do have a Manchester United shirt in my collection in his memory ,of course. I have many many shirts from across the seasons, including match worn collections, but I’m starting to run out of room for them!

I've supported Barnsley FC for many years. My first experience of a Barnsley FC game was back in the 90’s when attending with school. I then attended games throughout the early 2000s. One standout game was the play off final v Swansea in 2006 at the Millenium Stadium.

I've had my season ticket since the 15/16 season and sat in the same seat since. Before this, I did attend all home games and the odd few away games. Now I get to the majority of games across the season, with only work having an impact on some travels. To date, I have visited 70 away grounds to watch Barnsley FC.

Outside of football, I am a Teaching Assistant, and have just completed my degree in Education. I am passionate about football, even in the workplace! This year (2023/24) was the first year that we saw a girl’s football team put together at our school and I encourage the girls to join in!

I aim to try to continue in building strong and positive relationships with my own club, and with others where we need to partner. I would love to get involved in delivering education to others for Her Game Too so that we can continue doing the good work that we do, and to reach across far and wide.
