Football has been part of Megan Longworth’s life for as long as she can remember. A Blackburn Rovers season ticket holder since she was just 10 months old, Megan grew up attending matches with her entire family - mum, dad, brother, grandparents, cousins, and now her boyfriend. Supporting Rovers isn’t just a hobby; it’s part of who she is. Whether at Ewood Park or traveling to away games, Megan is blue and white through and through.

When Blackburn Rovers partnered with Her Game Too, Megan saw a chance to give back to the club and community that shaped her. Through this role, she’s passionate about ensuring the next generation of fans, particularly young girls, can enjoy the same experiences she has had - free from barriers or discrimination.

Beyond football, Megan plays cricket, enjoys hiking adventures, and empowers women through skincare.

Megan is supported in her role by fan advocates Eleanor and Millie. Together, they are committed to promoting inclusivity under the #OneRovers umbrella, ensuring that Blackburn Rovers remains a welcoming and supportive space for all.

OUR STORY

Blackburn Rovers partnered with Her Game Too in 2022, officially launching the campaign at Ewood Park against Sheffield United for International Women’s Day 2023. By March 2025, the club had hosted several dedicated fixtures for both the men’s and women’s teams, marking nearly three years of collaboration.

Throughout this partnership, Blackburn Rovers has taken significant steps to promote inclusivity and eradicate sexism in football, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all supporters.

SANITARY PRODUCTS

Megan’s first initiative was introducing free sanitary products at matches to ensure female fans could attend games without inconvenience.

With the club’s full support, sanitary bins were installed in the concourse toilets, and free products are now restocked for every matchday.

Providing access to essential hygiene products is a crucial step toward inclusivity, allowing female fans to focus on enjoying the game without unnecessary concerns.
