ORGANISATIONS & OTHERS

“Whilst a number of organisations in England offer girls an introduction to softball cricket, I feel that outside of County age group programmes there’s a lack of bespoke coaching opportunities dedicated to young girls. For that reason, we’ve set up Next Level Cricket Academy.”
- Kira Chathli, Co-Founder of NLCA

Founded in 2007, T20 Cricket Community was established to help support the development of state school cricket by Managing Director, Darren Talbot.
Having been “inspired, or more accurately horrified by the paucity of cricket at a Chance to Shine school session” he was managing in Guildford, Darren left his city to job pursue a new career with a “focus on giving state school children more opportunities to play more and better cricket.”
Through a range of courses and academies, T20 Cricket Community engages with hundreds of boys and girls, providing them with training and competitive game time.

"As a young woman in the media I have witnessed first hand the under-representation of women in sports from the ground up; whether that be alongside myself in the press box, out on the pitch, on our TVs, on our news platforms etc.
So, I decided to create this platform to break the bias surrounding women within sports and shine a light on all those within it, travelling around the country to offer a platform to the incredible female athletes that the UK has to offer.
- Rosa Simkin, Founder of Rosa Talks Ball
