HER GAME TOO CRICKET PARTNER WITH CRICKETQUBE

Her Game Too Cricket are excited to announce a brand-new partnership with Cricketqube - a community sport social enterprise delivering inclusive cricket and movement sessions across the North East and Yorkshire.

Founded with a mission to make cricket “accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds”, the Community Interest Company (CIC) brings cricket to where people are - from schools, care homes, parks, and community spaces across the region, running fun and inclusive sessions aimed at building confidence, connection and well-being.

The team work in some of the most deprived communities in England, using the sport to “improve physical and mental wellbeing, reduce isolation, and create pathways for young people.”

Over the past year, Cricketqube has served over 1,000 participants and counting, with sessions spanning youth, walking cricket for older adults and care home residents, and family cricket across the North East and Yorkshire.

After attending one of their School Sessions, Irina – aged 10 - from Carville Primary School (Wallsend) said: “I really enjoyed the cricket sessions. I enjoyed the batting best. I liked playing with my friends and learning new skills.”

The sessions have proved to be a huge hit in care homes, with one Activity Co-ordinator in Newcastle saying: “All the residents have improved. [...] there are many with mobility problems and are not good at mixing with others, we have seen a massive improvement in them.”

Margaret, 73, who attends the Walking Cricket sessions in Gateshead, said it has "given me the chance to take part in a sport I love."

With a dedicated leadership team at its helm, a core team driving operations, partnerships and communications, supported by a passionate group of coaches, Cricketqube’s impact and scope continues to grow and thrive – which has seen the introduction of new sessions and their entry into new towns and cities. Having begun their Women and Girls sessions in Gateshead, plans are in place to commence more in Newcastle from August.
