Roopa is the Liverpool FC Ambassador for Her Game Too and serves as the campaign’s Chief Operating Officer.

A lifelong Red, Roopa’s connection to Liverpool Football Club runs deep - so much so that she chose to study at Liverpool John Moores University just to be closer to the team she loves!

 

In 2023, her dedication was spotlighted when her image appeared on the side of the Kop as part of the Converse x Liverpool FC collaboration, where she shared her journey as a South Asian Red. Today, she proudly represents the voices of female Liverpool fans and helps drive change from both inside and outside the stadium.

Originally from Wales, Roopa is also the founder of Her Game Too Cymru and works to amplify the experiences of women and girls across Welsh football. She’s passionate about breaking down barriers and helping to build a sport that feels genuinely welcoming for everyone.

​

Alongside her voluntary work with Her Game Too, Roopa's day job is also in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and she is often invited to speak or present in the football media space, with appearances on BBC Sport, radio, and club channels.

 

Her work continues to challenge outdated narratives and push for more inclusive, representative environments - on and off the pitch.
