BARNET FC SUPPORTERS ASSOCIATION PARTNERS WITH HER GAME TOO

Her Game Too has announced a new partnership with Barnet FC, with the League Two club the latest to join us in our pledge for equality within football.

Working through the Barnet FC Supporters Association (BFCSA), we will liaise closely with both new Barnet FC Ambassador Carla Devine and those within the Supporters Association to make sure The Hive and all environments related to Barnet FC are welcoming and open, regardless of gender, sexuality or racial orientation.

Our Barnet Ambassador, Carla Devine had this to say on the new partnership: “I'm so happy to finally get this partnership up and running.

"It's been a long time coming and I'm hopeful that we can integrate the campaign into every part of the club. We are lucky to have some brilliant female supporters and staff at The Hive, as well as our women's team, the London Bees.

"This feels like an excellent first step in recognising and expanding that. It's so important that female fans and staff feel welcome at Barnet, knowing we're a club committed to inclusion on and off the pitch. I look forward to working with Her Game Too to highlight that.”

We also spoke to the chair of the Barnet FC Supporters Association Keith Doe, who reinforced it a key aim to improve supporter relationships and ensure everyone feels welcome.

"The BFCSA is delighted to partner with Her Game Too and further increase inclusion within the beautiful game. Barnet is a family friendly club and we want to see supporters, regardless of who they are, enjoy being a part of this wonderful club.

“The BFCSA is committed to improving the matchday experience for all and we work very closely with Club to ensure everyone is able to watch football in a safe and inclusive environment. We also look forward to working with with Her Game Too on new initiative and opportunities to promote Barnet FC to a wider more diverse audience."

We are thrilled and excited to be taking this step with Barnet FC and the BFCSA on the road to eradicating sexism and inequality in football.
