HGT Cymru is delighted to be donating 200 tickets to local clubs and community
groups for the Cymru v Montenegro women’s international, taking place in Llanelli on 7 March.
Working with the Football Association of Wales (FAW), HGT Cymru requested and secured a
93 adult tickets and 107 junior tickets for the fixture this weekend.
These tickets will be shared with grassroots clubs and community groups across Wales, giving more people the chance to attend an international women’s match together and be part of a special occasion.
The initiative reflects a wider commitment to making football a more welcoming and inclusive space. Roopa Vyas, Her Game Too COO explained,
“Her Game Too exists to improve the matchday experience and create space for women and girls to truly belong in football.”
The recent rise of the Cymru women’s national team has inspired more people than ever to
want to be part of the game, but as Roopa notes, “financial and social barriers can still stand
in the way.”
By supporting local clubs to attend the upcoming fixture together, HGT Cymru
hopes to help remove some of those barriers and make attending live football feel more
accessible and enjoyable.
This work has been made possible thanks to funding from The National Lottery, which has
allowed HGT Cymru to turn funding into real experiences for local communities.
As Roopa said, “We are proud to use funding from The National Lottery to help 200 girls, boys and adults attend the match at Parc Y Scarlets, celebrate International Women’s Day, and stand behind our Cymru team as they face Montenegro women’s national team.”
With the match taking place at Parc y Scarlets and falling alongside International Women’s
Day, the evening offers more than just football. It’s a chance to come together, celebrate
women’s sport, and show visible support for the national team as they take on Montenegro.

By bringing people to the game together, the initiative aims to build confidence, spark new
connections, and support the FAW’s goal of growing attendances across the women’s game.
Roopa said, “Creating welcoming, shared experiences like this is a meaningful step towards a game where everyone feels they belong, both in the stands and beyond.”
HGT Cymru is proud to play a small part in this moment for Welsh football and looks forward
to seeing the stands filled with familiar faces, new supporters, and communities coming
together on the 7th March.
