Her Game Too announces Landmark Partnership with Oxfordshire FA

Her Game Too is proud to announce a new partnership with the Oxfordshire Football Association, marking another significant step forward in our mission to champion safe spaces for women and girls in football.

This collaboration feels particularly meaningful as we already work closely with several Oxfordshire clubs, including Oxford United, Abingdon United WFC, Easington Sports Football Club, AFC Didcot, Greater Leys Youth FC Girls and Tower Hill Football Club.

Strengthening our relationship with the county FA brings all of this work together and reinforces a shared commitment to ensuring football in Oxfordshire is a welcoming, inclusive, and empowering environment for everyone.

The Oxfordshire FA has long demonstrated a dedication to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and this partnership reflects a natural alignment of values. Jonathan Duckworth, Chief Executive of Oxfordshire FA, highlighted the organisation’s commitment, saying:

“At the Oxfordshire FA EDI is in our DNA. It is at the heart of our strategic plan and everything we do. We believe in a level playing field where everyone, whether male or female, is treated with equal respect.

We fully support local football legends such as Josh McEachran as an advocate for Her Game Too and the Oxfordshire football clubs who also partner alongside us with Her Game Too - with a shared goal of helping ensure that everyone, regardless of their gender or any other characteristic, can fully enjoy and participate in local football in all its forms”.

This partnership also celebrates the voices of those within the Oxfordshire football community who continue to champion the women’s game. Oxford-born professional footballer Josh McEachran shared his support, reflecting on the growth and momentum surrounding women’s football:

“Seeing the women’s game grow month by month is amazing. I want every young woman and girl to have the confidence and support to play the game they love.

Her Game Too has been unbelievable for the women’s game, bringing so much positivity, joy, and inspiration to players and fans alike.

I hope to help as much as I can going forward and getting the women’s game even bigger.”

As one of our long-standing partner clubs, Oxford United continues to play a vital role in promoting equality and supporting our mission. We also heard from Grace Bailey, Oxford United’s Her Game Too ambassador:

To have Oxfordshire FA partnered with Her Game Too is something I feel very proud of as the ambassador.

It's also shows that football is really for all weather that from working to playing to watching. Her Game Too is there to help make girls and women feel safe giving they opinion on football and with the backing of the FA I really think shows that Football is for all in Oxfordshire.

Having the backing of the FA I can't wait to see what amazing things we can do together with this campaign and help make a difference in Oxfordshire.

This partnership represents a united effort to challenge sexism, amplify the voices of women and girls, and create meaningful opportunities across the county. Her Game Too is excited for the journey ahead and grateful to everyone in Oxfordshire FA who shares our vision of a game where everyone truly belongs.
