HER GAME TOO PARTNER WITH WALKSAFE

Her Game Too have today announced a partnership with the personal safety app WalkSafe, aimed at helping female fans to feel safe while travelling to and from football matches. The app was set up by Emma Kay, a daughter of a Metropolitan Police Officer who had personally faced horrible catcalling, flashing and genuine fear when walking on

the streets at night.

After working in a community centre, Emma discovered that many women feel scared when they have to walk alone on the streets, so, following the birth of her daughter and a series of family discussions, she decided to launch WalkSafe. WalkSafe features three different journey features, HomeSafe, Follow Me and WalkSafe, which are all aimed at keeping women safe. HomeSafe allows users to set a specific place and time to share their journey plan with friends or relatives and if their journey isn't registered as completed, then those people are notified. Follow Me is for if you are just walking the dog or going for a wander, and enables

users to select a time length for their location to be shared with a specified audience. The third and final pillar is WalkSafe itself, in which a user's location will update in real time on a journey, allowing selected family and friends to follow their movements.

Asia Worgan, WalkSafe's Growth Manager, said: "At WalkSafe, our mission has always been to make the world a safer place. "Her Game Too's values align perfectly with our mission, so we are proud to launch a partnership that allows us to unite our strengths in the realm of sports to help female fans feel safer - whether at matches, travelling to and from stadiums, or navigating a

new area as an away fan. "Together with Her Game Too, we are dedicated to dismantling barriers so that sports supporters, regardless of gender, race, or background, feel empowered to enjoy the full fan experience, safely." Caz May, Director and Founder of Her Game Too, said: "At Her Game Too, we are delighted to form an official partnership with WalkSafe. "We love everything about what they do, and we feel there Is a strong synergy between both of our organisations.

"A top priority of ours is for women to feel comfortable and safe attending football games, so it's important that we consider the travelling to and from the stadium, particularly with longer travel to away fixtures. "Through this partnership with WalkSafe, we can ensure that women are also safe and supported outside of the stadium. "There are plenty of opportunities to collaborate and we are excited to see what we

can do together to make the world a better place for women."
