We are thrilled to introduce Dawn Addis as the new Her Game Too Ambassador for Walsall FC.
A lifelong Saddlers fan and an advocate for inclusivity, Dawn is already involved in the League Two club as a volunteer.
Reflecting on her journey as a supporter, Dawn recalls her first match at Walsall: “My dad used to go to Walsall home games occasionally, and he took me to a night game one Tuesday - I was hooked.
“The atmosphere of being in the ground under the floodlights, standing behind the goal in the crowd with fans singing, shouting and cheering was so exciting and nothing like watching it on TV.”
Dawn has been a season ticket holder for most seasons since 1995 and fondly remembers highlights like the 2001 Second Division play-off final against Reading in Cardiff, which Walsall won 3-2 after extra time.

She loves visiting new football grounds and adding to her collection of away team pin badges - which is currently more than 70 strong.
But Dawn’s connection to Walsall extends beyond fandom.
In 2022, she joined the club as a matchday volunteer, supporting fans and contributing to the team that earned Walsall the EFL Gold Award for Family Excellence in 2024.
On becoming a Her Game Too Ambassador, Dawn says: “With the success of the Lionesses and women’s professional league attendances on the rise, it could not be a better time to represent the club and work together to make football at Walsall an inclusive, welcoming and safe environment for women.”
Dawn aims to collaborate with the club to raise awareness of the Her Game Too campaign, promote the women’s team and engage with fan groups and community initiatives.
She also hopes to help organise a dedicated Her Game Too fixture each season to further spotlight the campaign’s mission.
When asked about her hopes for the future, Dawn shared: “I would like to see a representative from all EFL clubs and for Her Game Too to become a household name.
“Together, we can make a difference.”
